The #1 question I’ve been asked since giving birth: How is big sister Kinley handling the new baby?
It’s almost unbelievable how well she’s doing. To say she is obsessed with her may be an understatement.
The moment she wakes, she asks “Where baby?” or “Where Ka-rem-a?”
So we go to where the baby is laying and she instantly insists on giving her kisses. And grabbing her hand. And petting her head. Then the kissing cycle repeats after Kinley’s naptime.
Now, she is also into pretend nursing and patting her baby doll on the back to burp her, just like baby “Karema.”
Only downfall? She wants to pick her up and I’m afraid one day she just might.
Remind me to actually use those safety straps now…
How did your children react when you brought home baby?
