This past weekend, I had the ultimate opportunity thanks to my friends at The Suburban Collection: They made my dreams come true of becoming a minivan mama. OK, it was just for the weekend, but let me tell you, I loved every moment!
{See my intro video here.}
On this blog, I’ve given you the tour of my current car…And while I love its fuel efficiency, it’s just not practical for our *almost* family of 4. So when I was approached by The Suburban Collection about taking a social media test drive, meaning I would tweet/FB/blog my experience, I had to take them up! {Nerding out: Isn’t that a fab user-generated content idea for a car company? Way to rock socmed, guys!}
Did I opt for a sporty Audi or a sexy Porsche? Or how about a Jeep or even a pimped out Escalade?
Nope. I was craving sliding doors, practicality — something that screams “mom.” I wanted cup holders galore. Stow n’ Go. And most of all – the ability to get Kinley in and out of her car seat without breaking a sweat on my 29-weeks-pregnant body.
And with that, I met the beautiful 2012 Chrysler Town & Country and it was love at first sight. Check out my video below to see some of my favorite features:
I enjoyed my experience immensely. It really solidified my desire to purchase a Town & Country in the near future. I did learn some good stuff, too. For example: Black interior is a no-no for us – there was way to much visible dirt on the carpets by the time we were through. Also, the dark blue color isn’t ideal for the bug-infested country roads we drive down often. We will be opting for lighter colors on all fronts!
Are you a minivan mama? What made you make the leap?
