I’m 27 and I’ve never…
1. Taken a ride in a hot air balloon (even when one landed in my yard as a kid!).
2. Shot a handgun.
3. Made my own beer.
4. Driven a tractor.
5. Ate any Ethiopian food (really want to try The Blue Nile).
6. Sewed anything but pillows and buttons.
7. Joined in a march for a cause I love.
8. Taken a cooking class.
9. Been in first class.
10. Taken a tap class [as an adult].
11. Painted pottery…or anything on a canvas.
12. Grown tomatoes.
13. Canned anything (would love to make jam or salsa).
14. Paid for the person behind me at the drive-thru.
15. Went to a live NHL or NFL game.
16. Purposely dropped money just so someone can feel like it’s their lucky day.
17. Gotten a bikini wax.
18. Ate chicken fries from Burger King (they have got to be good, right?!).
19. Riden a mechanical bull.
20. Traveled in the NE states (Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont top my list).
21. Gone on a ghost tour in a historic town.
22. Owned a purse that cost more than $40.
*** Please note these are all things I hope to do during my lifetime…some are just plain silly and some will take time and money to make happen! ***
Your turn: What silly or serious things haven’t you done but would like to accomplish?
Written for Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop. I choose prompt #1, to write about 22 things I’ve never done.
Alison@Mama Wants This says
Loved reading these 22 things! I’d love to try canning something too…..
Mrs. Weber says
I know, it sounds granny-ish at first, but as you grow older you realize how those canned yummy things would come in handy!
tracy says
I’ve never had a bikini wax either and at my age I probably never will. 😉
Mrs. Weber says
It’s one of those things I’m just curious about. Maybe one day in the summer when my body can get back in a bikini 😉 A girl can dream, right?
Missy | The Literal Mom says
This is the second list I’ve seen from mama Kat’s prompt and they have both been awesomely creative! Thanks for sharing!
Mrs. Weber says
Happy to share. It was a super fun prompt to get your brain churning 🙂
Galit Breen says
Love this, so so very much!
Mrs. Weber says
Thanks, Galit. You should try this too – I’d be so curious to see what you have to say!
Robbie says
The chicken fries are delicious!

Mrs. Weber says
I’m glad you think so. I remember seeing the commercials while preggers and it took everything in me not to bolt out the door and go through the drive-thru!
Reviewer11 says
Very interesting answers you gave. 🙂 This is fun, isn’t it? 😀
Mrs. Weber says
Yours was pretty funny too. Thanks for stopping by!
Reviewer11 says
Thanks so much, lol, so happy you lol at my list! 😀
Kimberly says
Great list and I love that these are all things that you want to do in the future.
Mrs. Weber says
Thanks, Kim!
Mama Kat says
Oh how I long to fly first class without breaking the bank…maybe someday.
Dominique@Dominique's Desk says
I too would like to travel first class and don’t think I’ll be getting a bikini wax ever.
Mrs. Weber says
I’m hoping that one just happens by chance because there’s no way I will ever pay for it 😉
Jessica says
Once you grow some tomatoes you can start canning. 2 birds with one stone or something like that.
Mrs. Weber says
That’s my exact thought process. Hope to can salsa with my garden grown tomatoes! Your garden always inspires me 🙂
Coffee Lovin' Mom says
I am so with you on the purse thing! I thought I was the only one on that – I’m not about shoes either. Those chicken fries are not worth all the hype – I thought they looked so awesome on the commercial and tried them right away, I was sadly disappointed.
Mrs. Weber says
Aww, so sad to hear CLM!
P.S. I’m not big on shoes either…especially expensive ones! It hurts too much 😉
Dianna says
Fun post!
I would have chosen this prompt, but wanted to share my FB picture! 😉
Of the things on your list, I have: canned, driven a tractor, visited the northeast and been on a ghost tour in a historic town.
I’ll have to write a post soon about things I haven’t done, and we can see if there are any on my list that you HAVE done!
Mrs. Weber says
You do all sorts of cool things…I’m not surprised! And yes, you should make a list. Hoping to do what I have done soon 🙂
JDaniel4's Mom says
Maine really is wonderful! I went with friends one summer and had a great time!
Diane@BeStillaMinute says
I put a few of these things on my list too. I’ve never paid for first class myself but did get to fly up there a couple of times (on a short flight) when I worked for Chase Manhattan in the late 90’s. The difference is like night and day! I have first class envy now every single time I fly. Just too much money though!
Sarah says
It’s funny that some of these are on my “list” as well (like ride a hot air balloon and ride first class) and some I have done (shot a gun, traveled in the NE)… great list! I think everyone should have a list 🙂
Mrs. Weber says
This isn’t even really my bucket list…it’s just a fun list of things that I *should* be able to do relatively easy…right?!
Arnebya says
I was waxed. Once. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. EVER. I’d like to leave the East coast (embarrassed that I haven’t). Burger King has chicken fries? I haven’t had a Whopper since November 2000.
Alison at Mommy is a Power Ranger says
I loved your list! I always used to watch my Oma can food when she was alive but never did it. I think it would be fun to try.
Jacki says
I have always wanted to ride a mechanical bull as well. Really curious how long I would be able to stay on.
Liz says
Okay, so out of your “to do” list, I have:
-flown first class … unfortunately it was b/c of an emergency, though 🙁 funeral.
-gone to the E. Coast, but that’s because I’m originally from MA 🙂 though I live in MI now.
-eaten Ethiopian food – I did go to the Blue Nile in A2, once. It was pretty good.
-I think I have dropped $ for people … but only pennies. for good luck. 🙂
On my list:
-Explore Europe – I’ve been to England, but only once, two years ago, and for a week.
-go to an NFL game (same as you). I haven’t been to any NHL either but I’m not a huge hockey fan. I did go to 1 UM hockey game, though, when I was there.
-Explore Asia – my dad has traveled all over Asia for business, and I want to be able to go there one day.
-Have one of my movie reviews picked up by a major newspaper/magazine.
-Get married / have kids … some day. 🙂
-Go to California … I’ve seriously never been there yet. Farthest West I’ve traveled is Vegas.
Those were kinda hard to think of, actually!
Cam | Bibs & Baubles says
I really want to do the hot air balloon!!!
Leigh says
A tractor? lol…you crack me up. I’m with you on some of these, though. Thought about doing a bikini wax before my wedding and then chickened out, haha…
Mrs. Weber says
I feel like I just want to see what it’s like. Might not be a good idea though… 😉 And thankfully Jason can hook me up with the tractor part someday!
snipewife says
#1 was on my list too. I would have ridden a mechanical bull in my youth but I’m not so sure my back could handle that abuse. I like your “pay it forward” attitude–that is something we should all strive to cross off our lists. And I can totally recommend ghost tours in Williamsburg, VA. And York, England too. I live in an historic town, 8 years now, and I haven’t done our ghost tour–I’m such a slacker! Stopping in from Mama Kat’s…
Diane @ Philzendia says
Reading your list reminds me that there are so many things that I’ve never done myself. This is the first time I’m hearing about this writer workshop. I have to check it out!
ThisSideOf30 says
We just went to Vermont, Maine, Mass., Rhode Island, CT & NH this summer! Beautiful drive. I recommend going blueberry picking & stopping in Burlington, VT. PS I haven’t done most of your list, either. Mine is…I haven’t been swimming with dolphins or whale watching. I’d love to see both in their natural habitat.
Jackie says
Well… now I feel old. 27….. geesh.
Canning is easy… actually I don’t can I freeze so it’s even easier!
I haven’t been on a haunted tour either…. do you know if there’s one in Michigan? We could get a group together & go!

I feel this can be one of several much substantial details for me personally. With this particular pleased learning your current report. Although would like commentary with couple of basic items, The website style is perfect, the particular content is really fantastic : N. Superb endeavor, many thanks
Bill @ Fingerprint Gun Safe says
Great list! A lot of those are easily achievable! I haven’t been in a hot air balloon either.
