Following up on last week’s prompt about things I haven’t done, Mama Kat asked us to list 22 things we have done. These aren’t all things I’m especially proud of, but for the sake of entertaining you, I’m just being honest. I’m sure when Little K is old enough to understand all this she might have some giggles.
I have…
1. Crowd-surfed.
2. Visited Europe.
3. Been an audience member for The Price Is Right.
4. Was a cheerleader 7th-10th grade. {Quit to be in the spring musical.}
5. Shot a bow and arrow {extremely hard…if you can shoot and kill an animal with that thing, you deserve to eat it}.
6. Ate both NY pizza and Chicago-style pizza. {Confession: I prefer NY. Hubby prefers Chicago.}
7. Birthed a 9-pound+ baby.
8. Witnessed sea turtles hatching on the beach and helped them to the ocean.
9. Built a house with Habitat for Humanity in Romania.
10. Visited a local chocolate factory.
11. Helped build a playground in Detroit.
12. Drank wine at all the wineries on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, Michigan.
13. Shot-gunned, bonged and did a keg stand with beer…multiple times {hello, college!}.
14. Was Winterfest Queen in high school {pretty sure this was a fluke as I was pretty dorky}.
15. Visited Gettysburg and walked on the battle fields…while pregnant.
16. Saw The Lion King on Broadway {highly recommend}.
17. Ate caviar, an oyster and fried cow brains {YUCK}.
18. Went horseback riding on the beach.
19. Taken dance lessons with the hubby. {Loved it. Him? Notsomuch.}
20. Been to a gospel concert.
21. Rode in an official Oscar Meyer Wienermobile.
22. Was opinion editor for my high school newspaper {can you believe I liked to share my opinion?!}.
Written for Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop.
What are some unique or surprising things you’ve done during your life thus far?
Love your list! I haven’t done any of those things. This probably would have been the prompt I chose today, except that I’m on a Bacon’s Castle theme this week and didn’t want to stray from the subject! Thankfully, one of the other prompts worked.
Yes! Love your post today. So appropriate for Halloween, too 🙂
You’ve certainly done a lot, Lauren! Europe must have been fun, but cow brains, notsomuch 🙂
I know. It was when we were in Romania…It just looked like breaded chicken. It tasted like mushrooms honestly, and not that bad, but I couldn’t get over the fact it was BRAIN!
Love your list… you have done quite a few wonderful things! And thanks for sharing the fabulous photo of your youngself in your cheerleader days 😉
Did you like that? I figured might as well completely embarrass myself for the sake of your entertainment 😉
Wow, you’ve done some pretty awesome stuff! I also had a 9 pound baby (by c-section after 24 hours of labor). Yay for big, strong babes!
It’s crazy how big those babes can get. Let me just say, I will never go over my due date again!
The sea turtles got my full attention!!!
Aw, good. They are my weakness. They are no bigger than your hand as babies…so precious!
What a great list! Too bad for #3 you didn’t get on the show. And I didn’t know you built an HH house in Romania. How awesome – go you!
I know! But I guy we were with did – a teacher (in training)! He won $1.
I love your list! I would never have figured you as a keg stander. Awesome!
Hehe. We all do silly things at times, right?!
I LOVE that you’ve been on TPIR! Exciting.
YES! And it was during the good ole Bob Barker days!
I was a cheerleader through 10th grade too! I quit because I moved. I was the mascot too, but let’s not talk about that!
Ohh, being the mascot sounds like way more fun! Hot, but fun 😉
I was a cheerleader too!! 😉 You have done some awesome things that have helped many!! Thanks for visiting!
Maybe being a cheerleader is a common theme for bloggers? I guess because we’re generally outgoing? Who knows.
I was also a cheerleader and birthed a 9+ pounder!
I loved the Lion King!!
You have done some seriously awesome things!
