Tuna casserole was one of those things I hated growing up. My mom is a good cook, but this was one of her meals I just wasn’t crazy for due to lack of flavor.
Now that I can cook for myself, I’ve discovered a world of making things taste good with a little help from fried onions. This recipe cannot be beat! My friend was over for dinner a few weeks ago and raved how she hates tuna casserole, but loved this.
This is the perfect winter comfort food. Make it more delicious by serving peas on the side.
INGREDIENTS
3 cups of noodles or macaroni
2 cans of tuna, drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
½ cup of milk
1½ cups fried onions
1½ cups cheese
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350.
Boil noodles. In a bowl, mix together tuna, soup, milk and prepared noodles.
Pour mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish or 9×13 baking dish and top with cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes. Top with friend onions and bake for another 5 minutes.
Dinner is served!
Serves 4, however, if you enjoy leftovers or have a family of big eaters, I would suggest doubling this recipe. {We usually kill it all between 3 of us!}
What is your favorite winter casserole recipe?

I’ll be honest… I hate tuna casserole. It’s the fishy taste that I don’t like.
Replace the tuna with some rotisserie chicken and it’d be perfect!

Oooh, that’s actually a great idea…might have to give it a shot!
