Have you all heard of the Macy’s 2nd Mondays at The Henry Ford program for preschoolers? It’s pretty sweet! It’s the perfect way to give the kids a chance to blow off some steam and save some money on admission while at it.
The program itself is focused on preschool age kids, and runs from 10 a.m. – Noon on the second Monday of each month. Each month has a theme, make and take activity, giveaway and more.

Adults can use the coupon here to save 25 percent on admission during the program. Additionally, paying caregivers can also receive 10 percent off membership that day and on all retail. Remember the kids are FREE though, so woot woot 😀

March 10: Go Green for Earth Day {Henry Ford Museum}
- Kids will learn about the importance of recycling through a scavenger hunt inside the museum

April 14: Easter Celebration {Henry Ford Museum}
- Kids will get to meet the Easter Bunny, have a scavenger hunt and a sing-a-long

- Barry the Guitar Guy will be in the museum to play music for the kids
- Giveaways: Easter/Spring-themed toys and fresh flowers

This year, Greenfield Village will open on April 15. Make sure to plan a visit and check out the brand new playground that is now on the grounds and made for children of ALL abilities.
May 12: Springs’ in Bloom {Greenfield Village}
- Event will take place in Greenfield Village where kids will get to explore the working farms district and learn to plant {they’ll get to throw grass seed in the fields} and there will also be maypole dancing
- Make and take activity will be to plant a seed in a pot to take home with them to watch grow
- There will be live music at the maypole with Barry the Guitar Guy
- Giveaways: Seedlings, Heirloom seed packets and Pennies for Pines

The Firestone Farm inside Greenfield Village
June 9: Summer Celebration {Greenfield Village}
- Event will take place in Greenfield Village, where kids will get to play historic games on the green — ring toss, chalk drawing and puppet shows
- Make and take activity will be pinwheels
- There will be free carousel rides
- Giveaway will be bubbles

I like to visit Greenfield Village and Henry Ford because it is great place to go and learn more about the history of our great country!
I LOVE the glass blowing. I could stand and stare for hours. One day, I want to take the class!

The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village are two of my family’s favorite places on earth.
It was one of my favorite places as a child, and I think H is just getting old enough to enjoy some of the reasons I loved it (and still love it).
I would love to go because I remember going to both places as a child and having soooo much fun! I would love to take my kids now and show them all the amazing things both places have to offer!!
I’ve never been outside of the imax and I’d love to take my kids.
