Piggy Paint Review: The Perfect Nail Polish for Little Hands {+ Giveaway ENDS 5/21}

My 3-year-old loves painting her nails in wild colors {just like her mama}! There’s only one issue: She’s a thumbsucker and I just don’t feel comfortable having her potentially chew and swallow most toxic nail polishes out there. Also, being pregnant, the smell of polishes make me feel queasy. That’s why I was beyond thrilled when a girlfriend introduced me to Piggy Paint last summer!

Piggy Paint is water-base non-toxic, eco-friendly line of polishes and is the brain child of a mom of two. They are made in the U.S.A. with natural ingredients {their slogan is “natural as mud”} and they are hypoallergenic as well.

We were given the Birthday Bash Gift Set {Jazz It Up, a pink shimmer, Sea-quin, a matte turquoise and Groovy Grape, shimmer purple} to test, along with the Make It Last set with a base and top coat, which made a huge difference. We’re over a week in, and there are barely any chips to her fingernails and her toes are still perfect.

My Favorite Features:

• Very little odor! Being pregnant, I really appreciate this, but of course I’m glad about this for my kid’s sake, too! The odor that is there is not as offending as other polishes in my opinion.
• It dries quickly. Anyone who has painted tiny toes knows this is absolutely crucial.
• It’s available in TONS of different colors, too, which is super fun for girls of all ages 😀
• It’s available in MANY retailers, including most Walmart stores.
• They have a Fancy Nancy line of polishes. If you have a little girl and have never read any Fancy Nancy books, rent some from your library. They are incredibly adorable! {They also have polishes for dogs!}

Con:

• Without the base and top coat, it peels off fairly easily. Definitely splurge for those items if you can!
• Certain colors work better than others. In my kit, the blue and purple went on beautifully and looked fab with two coats, but I felt the pink didn’t have the best coverage, even after two coats. Just something to note when choosing colors.

TIP: Sing two rounds of the ABC’s while blow drying for extra fun!

Kinley’s nails and toes in her absolute favorite color — blue, and mama had to try out all the colors. I loved the purple the best!
