MOD Pizza Brighton Now Open! {+ $25 Gift Card Giveaway ends 1/4/16}

I attended a media preview of MOD Pizza Brighton with my family and received a complimentary meal.

Who doesn’t love pizza? It’s the clear winner among favorite foods in our house, which is why we were thrilled to check out MOD Pizza’s 5th Michigan location opening in Brighton, Michigan.

We weren’t disappointed! With the great variety of fresh toppings, a cheerful staff, and a unique array of beverages, including a Marion Blackberry lemonade, Michigan beer and even handspun milkshakes — there is something for every member of the family here.

I also adored the quick wait time, which is crucial to this mama of 3 little ones who don’t sit still long.

MOD’s individual pizzas are made on demand with fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads using any combination of the 30+ toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. {Check out the menu here.}

We loved that there are unlimited toppings available for one price {$7.87 for a medium}, which is a huge pro for my topping-obsessed husband. Personally, I look forward to trying more of their signature pizzas, which all sound delicious. I loved the flavor I experienced with the “Dillon James” pie I tried, and my husband loved the “Mad Dog.”

My girls absolutely loved the cinnamon strip n’ dips too, which were just $2.87 and a delicious dessert option. The strawberry dip was my favorite, while my girls devoured the chocolate and cinnamon sauces.

The personalized touches in the Brighton location are really neat — I loved seeing some of my favorite local landmarks on the “wall of fame” and seeing the unique pop art present throughout. They also had a cool sticker wall where you could write your name or message and stick it to the wall. Of course I had to use it as an excuse for a little self-promotion 😉

Even though the MOD chain is based in Seattle, it is locally owned and operated by TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants {TSFR}, a Livonia-based restaurant group with a portfolio that includes several Applebee’s, Olga’s and Del Taco restaurants.

TSFR has already opened a total of five location in six months, creating 150 jobs locally, and has plans to open 20 more locations in the years ahead. I can’t wait to see where the next Michigan location will be! To see a complete list of locations, visit www.teamschostak.com.

As a mom to three little ones, thank you MOD for bringing us a great restaurant where we can visit to enjoy delicious food and not have to worry about the kids’ picky ways. We’ll be back soon!
