I don’t know about you all, but I am completely thrown off that Easter is March 27th this year! It’s coming up SO fast. Since so many area events sell out, I thought I’d put together a big list of ideas for easy planning in the month ahead. For starters, here’s 25+ ideas for getting your bunny and egg fix. Personally, I say bring on the Reese’s Eggs…and hopefully warmer weather in the weeks ahead 😉

March 3-26 — Easter Bunny Photos at Briarwood Mall {Ann Arbor} — Visit the big bunny at the mall. Check here for times just for special needs kids AND opportunities to bring your pet, too. Photo fees apply.
March 12-26 — Easter Bunny Photos at the Somerset Collection {Troy} — Enjoy visits and photos with the Easter bunny. Photo fees apply.
March 12 — Michaels Kid Club {Nationwide} — Visit Michael’s to make a bunny frame! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. $2 per child, supplies included.
March 12 — When Spring Comes Storytime at Barnes & Noble {Nationwide} — Join B&N to celebrate spring’s arrival featuring the title When Spring Comes. Activities will round out the fun. {Double check to ensure your location is participating.} FREE.
March 16 — Easter Bunny Meet & Greet {Lansing} — Parents, don’t forget your cameras. A simple Easter craft for each child. Sponsored by Delta Township Parks & Recreation. FREE.
March 19 — Petting Zoo, Egg Hunts and FREE Bunny Visits at the Village of Rochester {Rochester} — The Bunny arrives at 10 a.m. sharp and will be available for FREE visits until 2 p.m. — just bring your own camera! Additionally, a petting zoo will be on site and there will be an interactive family scavenger egg hunt for a suggested donation of $5/child or $10/family, which goes to the non-profit, The Rainbow Connection.
March 19 — Underwater Easter Egg Hunt at Howell Aquatic Center {Howell} — Dive in for some EGG-sational fun! Prizes will be awarded for finding the Easter Bunny’s lost Easter Eggs. Children will be grouped together by age. Must register in advance. $5/child {$20 max per family – adults are free}.
March 19 — Berkley Breakfast With The Bunny {Berkley} — Hop along with Berkley Parks and Recreation and the Junior Women’s Club for a colorful breakfast for families with children ages 3 to 5th grade. Animals such as bunnies, chicks, goats and ducks will be there to enjoy. Children will also get a souvenir picture taken with the Bunny. Tickets are $4/person.
March 19 — Toddler Easter Egg Scramble at Wolcott Mill Metropark {Ray} — This egg scramble is geared toward the 4 and under age group, with hunts at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Toddlers can visit the Easter Bunny, make a craft and scramble for eggs. A snack and drink is included. Visitors may also purchase a horse drawn wagon ride. Registration required. Space is limited. March 19 — Easter Egg Scramble at Willow Metropark {New Boston} — Visit Willow Metropark for crafts, games, candy and an Easter Egg Scramble — complete with the Easter Pig! 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. scrambles. March 19 — Easter Egg Scramble at Stony Creek Metropark {Shelby Township} — This Easter celebration features a visit with the Easter Bunny, an Easter-themed craft and, of course, an egg scramble, which will be grouped by age. $6/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
March 20 — MDA Easter Egg Hunt {Macomb} — Ray Wiegand’s Nursery is hosting an egg hunt benefiting The Muscular Dystrophy Association. Additional activities include photos with the Easter Bunny, a bunny and duckling petting farm, face painting, maze/bounce house and more. Prices vary from free to $10.
March 20 — Hudson Mills Easter Egg Scramble {Dexter} — Celebrate the beginning of spring with an animal show, face painting and an Easter Bunny visit before and after the scramble for the Easter eggs. Pre-register and save $2 per child. $4/child 12 and under, or $6 at the door. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}. March 20 — Farm Egg Scramble at Wolcott Mill Metropark {Ray} — Visit with the farm animals and participate in a fun egg scramble! Take photos with the Easter Bunny, visit with Roscoe the Clown and stop by Bunnyville to meet the rabbits. Kids can make a craft to take home and enter the coloring contest. Visitors may purchase a horse-drawn wagon ride, too. Refreshments will be available for purchase. $5/person at the door. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
March 20 — Bunnies and Awesome Egg Decorating at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve {Rochester Hills} — Learn about and meet a real bunny, and decorate eggs using creative techniques. Register in advance. 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. sessions available. Non-members are $7/person, with a family max of $28.
March 20 — Brunch with the Bunny at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial {Grosse Pointe Farms} — Surprise your little one with a visit from the Easter Bunny while you enjoy a delicious Sunday morning brunch. Bunny photos and an egg hunt follows. Reservations must be made in advance. $19/person, under 1 year is free.
March 24 — Fun on the Farm: Egg Hunt at Kensington Metropark {Milford} — Visit for an egg scramble and meet the Easter Bunny, too! This event is meant for ages 4 and younger and starts at 10 a.m. $5 {cash only} per child; babies 12 months and under free. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
March 25 — The Great Marshmallow Drop at Catalpa Oaks {Southfield} — 15,000 marshmallows will rain from the sky with some labeled to earn a prize. Kids will be divided into age categories. FREE.
March 25 — Easter Egg Hunt at Springfield Township Park {Davisburg} — Hop on out to Mill Pond Park for the egg-cellent 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, complete with Easter eggs with candy, toys, or prizes. The Easter Bunny will also be there so bring a camera. Registration is required. Ages 4 & under: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Ages 5–12: 2 p.m. –4 p.m. Resident: $5/child; non-resident: $7/child.
March 25-26 — Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo {Royal Oak} — Bunnyville features games, crafts, live entertainment, zookeeper talks and much more, including a golden egg hunt with more than 100 eggs hidden throughout the Zoo each day, the Jelly Bean Jamboree, Funny Bunny Games, whisker painting and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Bring a canned good for a reduced admission price of $9, parking not included. Regular admission applies.
March 26 — Easter Egg Scramble at Lake Erie Metropark {Brownstown} — Visit the park for egg hunts, crafts, games, and a petting zoo! Advanced tickets ONLY. $6/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
March 26 — The Great Egg Hunt at Maple Beach at Kensington Metropark — Bring the kids for an Easter egg scramble and enjoy an animal show presented by Farmer John and The Barnyard Express and visits with the Easter Bunny. March 26 — Breakfast with the Bunny at Howell Nature Center {Howell} — Visit for a delicious pancake breakfast with sausage and all the trimmings. Children will get to visit with the Easter Bunny, receive a special gift, and enjoy an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt. Bring a camera. 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. time slots. March 26 — Egg Scramble with Rosco the Clown at Indian Springs Metropark {White Lake} — Rosco the Clown will entertain families with his fabulous show, or little ones can do crafts while you wait for your age group’s Egg Scramble to begin. The Easter Bunny will be there too! $5/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
March 26 — Easter Egg Hunt at Carousel Acres {South Lyon} – Visit for an Easter egg hunt on the farm! Participate in an egg hunt, mingle with the Easter bunny, visit with all the spring babies {calf, lamb, goat, bunnies, chicks and more}! 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. hunts. $5 per child. This event requires pre-registration.
March 26 — Egg Hunt at For-Mar Nature Preserve {Flint} — Easter is just around the corner and some pesky rabbit has left eggs all around our garden! Come catch that rabbit and find the eggs it left behind. Then start your first plants of the year in an old eggshell, a natural and egg-cellent way to start seeds. For children ages 4-12, all abilities. 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. $3/child.
March 27 — Easter Sunday Brunch and Tour at Ford House {Grosse Pointe Shores} — Make Easter at Ford House a family tradition with a special Sunday brunch and house tour! $37/adults, children ages 6-13 $22, 5 and under free.
April 15 — Marshmallow Drop and Moon Glow {Howell} — Come to the most unique night-time springtime celebration for ages 0-8. This one-of-a-kind outdoor event beings with a fly-over by helicopter and a massive drop of thousands of soft, white marshmallows, then kids will move on to a night-time Easter egg hunt. Must register in advance. $10/child.
April 23 — Spring Eggstravaganza at Leslie Science & Nature Center {Ann Arbor} — Bring your own basket and hunt eggs on the trails and turn those eggs in for a prize. After, learn about the animals at the nature center that lay eggs and what those different eggs look like. Top it all off with stories and crafts. $8/child, adults are free.
