Easter is quickly sneaking up, and since so many area events sell out, I thought I’d put together a big list of ideas for easy planning during the month ahead. I’ve covered fun around Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint and Lansing.

25+ Easter Events in Southeast Michigan
Through April 15 — Bunnyville at Twelve Oaks Mall {Novi} — The Easter Bunny will greet visitors in Bunnyville — a three-dimensional town for kids to explore. The last stop along the adventure is an opportunity to visit with the Easter Bunny and have photos taken. Those who visit the Easter Bunny will receive a complimentary gift. Photo packages start at $23.
Through April 15 — Easter Bunny Photos at Briarwood Mall {Ann Arbor} — Visit the big bunny at the mall. Check here for times just for special needs kids AND opportunities to bring your pet, too. Photo fees apply.
April 1-15 — Easter Bunny Photos at the Somerset Collection {Troy} — Enjoy visits and photos with the Easter bunny. Photo fees apply.
April 1 — Easter Egg Make Break at Michael’s {Nationwide} — Visit Michael’s to decorate an Easter egg any way you please! Buy any egg in the store, and the rest of your supplies are free.
April 8— Berkley Breakfast With The Bunny {Berkley} — Hop along with Berkley Parks and Recreation and the Junior Women’s Club for a colorful breakfast for families with children ages 3 to 5th grade. Animals such as bunnies, chicks, goats and ducks will be there to enjoy. Children will also get a souvenir picture taken with the Bunny. Tickets are $4/person.
April 8 — Easter Egg Scramble at Stony Creek Metropark {Shelby Township} — This Easter celebration features a visit with the Easter Bunny, an Easter-themed craft and, of course, an egg scramble, which will be grouped by age. $6/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
April 8 — Bunnies and Awesome Egg Decorating at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve {Rochester Hills} — Learn about and meet a real bunny, and decorate eggs using creative techniques. Register in advance. 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. sessions available. Non-members are $8/person, with a family max of $24.
April 8 — Easter at NorthFork Outback {Webberville} — Visit NorthFork for pony rides, leading and brushing, kids’ train ride to an Easter egg hunt and our indoor heated petting zoo. $15 per child.
April 8 & 9 — Charity Egg Hunt {Macomb} — Ray Wiegand’s Nursery is hosting an egg hunt benefiting Turning Point. Additional activities include photos with the Easter Bunny, a bunny and duckling petting farm, face painting, maze/bounce house and more. Prices vary from free to $10.
April 9 — Easter Bunny Brunch at PLAY {East Lansing} — Enjoy catered brunch with the Easter Bunny and then pose for pictures with the larger-than-life rabbit all while dancing to fabulous tunes by Tim the Music Man. The celebration will continue with arts and crafts, Easter Egg decorating, and more. FREE Easter Baskets! Geared to ages 0-7 years old. $11/adult; $13/child.
April 9 — Easter Egg Hunt at The Willows {Howell} — Visit The Willows in Howell for face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny, a bubble station, free hotdogs and refreshments and more! Children will be grouped by age — 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old. Registration is at 2:30 p.m. followed by the egg hunt at 3 p.m. FREE.
April 9 — Easter Egg Scramble at Wolcott Mill Farm Center {Ray} — Come out and visit with the farm animals and participate in the best egg scramble around! Easter Bunny photos, Roscoe the Clown and stop by Bunnyville and meet the rabbits. Kids can make a craft and enter a coloring contest. Visitors may also purchase a wagon ride. Refreshments will be available for purchase. $5/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
April 9 — Hudson Mills Easter Egg Scramble {Dexter} — Celebrate the beginning of spring with an animal show, face painting and an Easter Bunny visit before and after the scramble for the Easter eggs. Pre-register and save $2 per child. $4/child 12 and under, or $6 at the door. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}. April 9 — Brunch with the Bunny at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial {Grosse Pointe Farms} — Surprise your little one with a visit from the Easter Bunny while you enjoy a delicious Sunday morning brunch. Bunny photos and an egg hunt follows. Reservations must be made in advance. $23/person, under 1 year is free.

April 12 — Easter Bunny Meet & Greet {Lansing} — Parents, don’t forget your cameras. A simple Easter craft for each child. Sponsored by Delta Township Parks & Recreation. FREE.
April 13 — Fun on the Farm: Egg Hunt at Kensington Metropark {Milford} — Visit for an egg scramble and meet the Easter Bunny, too! This event is meant for ages 4 and younger and starts at 10 a.m. $5 {cash only} per child; babies 12 months and under free. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
April 13 — Washington Township Parks and Rec Community Easter Egg Hunt {Washington Township} — Visit the Washington Township Park Soccer Fields at 6:30 p.m. sharp for an egg hunt. Hunts divided by age 0-4; 5-7; 8 & up. Don’t forget your bag or basket & camera to take your photo with the Easter Bunny! FREE.
April 14 — The Great Marshmallow Drop at Catalpa Oaks {Southfield} — 15,000 marshmallows will rain from the sky with some labeled to earn a prize. Kids will be divided into age categories. FREE.
April 14 — Easter Egg Hunt at Springfield Township Park {Davisburg} — Hop on out to the Springfield Oaks Activity Center for the egg-cellent 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, complete with Easter eggs with candy, toys, or prizes. The Easter Bunny will also be there so bring a camera. Registration is required — no day-of sales. Ages 4 & under: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Ages 5–12: 2 p.m. –4 p.m. Resident: $5/child; non-resident: $7/child.
April 14-15 — Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo {Royal Oak} — Bunnyville features games, crafts, live entertainment, zookeeper talks and much more, including a golden egg hunt with more than 100 eggs hidden throughout the Zoo each day, the Jelly Bean Jamboree, Funny Bunny Games, whisker painting and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Bring a canned good for a reduced admission price of $9, parking not included. Regular admission applies.
April 15 — Too Many Carrots Storytime at Barnes & Noble {Nationwide} — Visit B&N at 11 a.m. to hear the story Too Many Carrots. Activities and coloring to follow. {Double check to ensure your location is participating.} FREE.
April 15 — Marshmallow Drop & Moon Glow {Howell} — Visit Genoa Park for this event for children, ages 0-8. The event begins with a fly-over helicopter dropping thousands of marshmallows and will move into a night-time egg hunt, so bring a flashlight! Register in advance to attend. $10/child.
April 15 — Breakfast With The Easter Bunny {Manchester} — Visit the Sportsman Club for all-you-can-eat pancakes from 10 a.m. – noon. $5/ages 10+, $3/ages 4-9 and free for 3 and under.

Children will get to visit with the Easter Bunny, receive a special gift, and enjoy an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt. Bring a camera. 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. time slots. Reservations required. $9/adults, $7/kids, children under 2 free.
April 15 — Easter Egg Hunt at Funtastic {Woodhaven} — Visit for an Easter egg hunt, craft and coloring page for the kids. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. will the egg hunt starting at 10:15 a.m. $10 per pre-paid child/$12 per child the day of the event
April 15 — Easter Egg Hunt at the Troy Community Center {Troy} — Grab your basket and hop over to this egg hunt! After your kids hunt for plastic eggs in the gym, there will be a moon bounce and activities for them. Bring your bathing suit to swim in the indoor pool and find the golden egg for extra prizes. Don’t forget your phone to take pictures with the Easter Bunny! Pre-registration is required. Ages 1.5-3 years, $5, egg hunt begins at 6 p.m.; Ages 4–7 years, $8, egg hunt begins at 6:30 p.m.; Ages 8–12 years, $8, egg hunt begins at 7 p.m. Additional kids and parents, $2.
April 15 — Easter Egg Scramble at Lake Erie Metropark {Brownstown} — Visit the park for egg hunts, crafts, and games. 10 a.m., Noon and 2 p.m. time slots. Advanced tickets ONLY. $5/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.

April 15 — Egg Scramble with Rosco the Clown at Indian Springs Metropark {White Lake} — Rosco the Clown will entertain families with his fabulous show, or little ones can do crafts while you wait for your age group’s Egg Scramble to begin. The Easter Bunny will be there too! Bags provided. $5/child. $10/vehicle entry {or free entry with Metroparks annual pass}.
April 15 — Easter Egg Hunt at Carousel Acres {South Lyon} – Visit for an Easter egg hunt on the farm! Participate in an egg hunt, mingle with the Easter bunny, visit with all the spring babies {calf, lamb, goat, bunnies, chicks and more}! 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. hunts. $5 per child. This event requires pre-registration.
April 15 — Animal Egg Hunt at For-Mar Nature Preserve {Flint} — This is not your ordinary egg hunt! During the Animal Egg Hunt, we will be learning all about animals that come from eggs and even meeting a few up-close! Then we’ll travel the trails as we search for hidden eggs. Dress for the weather. Suggested for ages 5 and up, all abilities. $3/child.
April 15 — Spring Eggstravaganza at Leslie Science & Nature Center {Ann Arbor} — Bring your own basket and hunt eggs on the trails and turn those eggs in for a prize. After, learn about the animals at the nature center that lay eggs and what those different eggs look like. Top it all off with stories and crafts. $8/child, adults are free.
April 15 — Davison Easter Egg Hunt {Davison} — Hop on out to Lake Callis Recreation Complex for the 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt complete with filled Easter eggs and the Easter Bunny {bring a camera}. Egg hunt will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Pre-Registration: Residents: $3 per child; Non-Residents: $5 per child. Day of Registration: Residents: $5 per child; Non-Residents: $7 per child.
