American Girl Returning to Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi

It’s baaaack! In case you missed its debut last year, American Girl will be returning to Twelve Oaks Mall June 24 – January 28!

The family favorite will once again be opening a temporary retail location at the shopping center this summer and will stay open through early 2018.

How fun will this be for the holiday season and beyond? My oldest daughter is really into the AG books right now, so I have a feeling we will have to pop in for her fall birthday. It sure beats needing to drive to Chicago — the location nearest to southeast Michigan.

The 6,000-square foot store will feature an assortment of the popular American Girl dolls, books, and accessories. The brand’s most iconic item — its 18-inch dolls — represent a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds and are sold for $115 each. The Wellies Wishes dolls retail for $60. Detroit even has its own doll represented in the BeForever collection — Melody, from Motown.

The temporary store will be located on the upper level near Nordstrom.

During the Grand Opening weekend celebration, June 24 and 25, girls in attendance will receive a free gift and craft while supplies last. Shoppers can also enter for a chance to win a 2017 Girl of the Year collection featuring the 18-inch Gabriela doll and paperback book, Gabriela’s accessories and Gabriela’s pet cat plush.

In case you aren’t familiar, Twelve Oaks Mall is a major regional shopping center conveniently located at the intersection of three major highways, I-96, I-696 and I-275, at Novi and Twelve Mile roads in Novi, Mich. With nearly 200 fine stores plus Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney, and Sears, Twelve Oaks has been serving customers since 1977.

Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
