The post below is sponsored by Goldfish Swim School Ann Arbor.
It has been more than a month since we started our swim journey with Goldfish Swim School, and we couldn’t be happier. My kids never protest when it’s time to head to swim class…and that’s SO incredible for my brood of complainers 😉
During the past month, I’ve watched their confidence soar as they have grown more comfortable with water, and all three now go under and kick and paddle like pros. It’s really great watching them grow!
Goldfish is a fantastic place for anyone seeking lessons. Here’s why we love them:
10 Reasons We Love Goldfish Swim School
Small class size. With a max of 4 students per one instructor, your child will get the personal attention they need to gain water safety skills and confidence.
Details that make parents lives easier. Goldfish really has it all — diapers for the littlest swimmers, an extra potty seat for tiny tushies, a bathing suit dryer, hair dryers, Bumbos and more. It’s really fantastic to have these small touches, which make parents lives’ easier.
Free make-up lessons. If you miss a lesson, it’s no problem. Just give them a call to schedule a make-up lesson. This is such a huge bonus for parents of unpredictable kids.
Year-round options; perpetual lessons. There are jump-start clinics if you’d prefer just a few lessons, but with swimming, it’s really crucial to keep going until your kids are completely comfortable. Having the option for perpetual lessons is critical.
90-degree water. This is crucial with little ones! Nothing is worse than a freezing pool, which comes with blue lips after.
Curriculum that focuses on fun and confidence. Instructors are fantastic and really know how to balance pushing a child to their full potential and knowing when pushing isn’t worth it. I could use a few lessons on their approach!
Extra perks. From fun family events and open swim times to balloons, Goldfish knows exactly how to keep kids excited to learn to swim. It truly is the little things!
Vibrant atmosphere. Walking into Goldfish is sure to put anyone in a great mood. With bright colors, sea life murals on the walls, and more, it’s hard not to smile!
Flexible class times. With three kids, I love having the option to send them all at the same time or for back-to-back lessons. It’s not a problem at Goldfish since age groups are split up between lanes. There are plenty of time options for working and non-working parents too.
Ribbons. I’ve been floored with how much ribbons motivate my kids. They look forward to adding to our bulletin board collection each week!
Overall, we are so happy with our decision to go to Goldfish Swim School and I can’t recommend them enough. It truly is all these small touches that make it such a great spot for kids to learn one of the most important life skills — water safety and swimming.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions about their programs 🙂

You may not think about safety much, but how do YOU get in and out of a pool? It may be no easy feat for you and small swimmers who are just learning about being in the water don’t really know how they’re supposed to get in and out without mom and dad’s help. At Goldfish Swim School, one of the key things we teach our youngest swimmers is how to pull along the side of the pool and get up — using elbow, elbow, tummy, knee. Ta-da!
With older kids, other key water safety tips are incorporated into every single lesson (including how to behave around the pool). It’s the little things that make a big difference.
