Are your kids full of energy? Are they typically bouncing off the walls? {Insert hand raised emoji}
Well, I’ve got the scoop on a new spot that will guarantee a great bedtime: DEFY Detroit in Commerce Township.
This new extreme trampoline park was created by Circus Trix, the industry leader in extreme air sports. They are also the creators behind Lansing’s District5. Pardon the teen boy language, but this place is SICK! We had a blast during our visit.
VISITING DEFY DETROIT
When you arrive, you will check in at the front desk and select the amount of time you’d like to jump — either for 1, 1.5, or 2 hours. You will need to purchase their special socks if you’ve never visited before. They are $3 each and come in some sweet designs. We all opted for the rainbow/tie-dye look! Before you go, I suggest signing a waiver online to save some time. The staff can then pull you up on their computers.
From there, you can drop any items inside a locker and create your own special code to lock in. These are free to use, which is an awesome touch. After, you will listen to some rules about the park and head in.
My kids scattered the moment we arrived and each ran to different things. I like that it’s all roped off so nobody can escape easily. As a mother to three {plus I had two additional kids with me}, I felt like it was manageable to watch everyone, and I even got in on the fun.
This park has climbing walls, foam pits, trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, extreme dodgeball, basketball hoops for slam dunks, parkour pits, a trapeze, and an Olympic trampoline — all enclosed within a 35,000 square-foot facility.
I couldn’t let the kids have all the fun, so I decided to jump as well. Jumping on a trampoline as an adult feels a little different, but SO fun. After I jumped for awhile and raced around with the kids, I was sweating…Such a good workout! For that, I highly suggest wearing workout gear, or at least comfy clothes.
Check out the video we made highlighting our fun:
In addition to open jumping, DEFY Detroit also hosts several special activities such as Club Night, Ninja Obstacle Course, KidJump {daily from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.}, Family Night and Extreme Dodgeball. Birthday parties are an option as well, and costs start at $250 for up to 10 guests.
There is no food on the premises, so plan accordingly. We were SO hungry after burning all kinds of energy.
Overall, this place was a blast, and I highly recommend it.

I dropped off 4 boys at this place for 4 hours they loved every minute of it and will definitely go back! The only thing they said was wrong with the place was that non of the water fountains were working nor any of the vending machines. Thirsty almost enough to pass out they said.

Oh gosh, I don’t think I can narrow it down to favorites, because we have a big family with lots of different personalities and one thing we all do agree on, is we like variety so I think all or most of the different areas would be huge hits.
I love foam pits and trampolines although I was shocked at how much work it is to get myself OUT of a foam pit. What a work out! Hahaha.
Our sons have been really interested in Parkour and been wanting to practice and learn more so they would like that. All of us like to play games and challenge one another so those aspects would be popular too.
It also looks like a fun date night also!
So everyone from Me & My husband (Gramma & PopPop) – to our adult kids and their dates and our little grandson would all love it.
