If you have a child that loves all things construction and big equipment, I have a fantastic charitable event to share with you: The Big Dig!
About The Big Dig
The Big Dig is a family-friendly event in which children will be able to operate heavy construction equipment and vehicles, while raising funds for pediatric cancer for the American Cancer Society. The inaugural event, presented by Michigan CAT and MacAllister Rentals, will be Saturday, July 27 from noon to 4 p.m. and will take place at 20300 Civic Center Drive in Southfield.
The event will bring together the construction community and children from across metro Detroit in support of ACS. Kids in attendance will have the opportunity to use working heavy machinery, including common construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers and backhoes,
as well as emergency service vehicles.
The fair-like event will also host a variety of hands-on activities, crafts and entertainment for the whole family.
