If you have a child that is fascinated by nature, National Geographic Live’s Secret of the Whales coming to The Wharton Center for Performing Arts in East Lansing, is one show they won’t want to miss!
Celebrated National Geographic Live Explorer and photographer Brian Skerry will visit Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall on Sunday, February 26, at 4 p.m. to present Secrets of the Whales.
About Secret of the Whales
Skerry has spent nearly four decades exploring and documenting Earth’s oceans. Discover the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures among four different species of whales—from the international cuisines of orcas to families of beluga whales playing at their “summer resort”—and learn what these majestic creatures can teach us about ourselves and our planet.
The show will encompass immersive storytelling and unforgettable imagery.

National Geographic Live is a touring speaker series that brings to life the awe-inspiring stories of National Geographic Explorers all throughout the United States and abroad. National Geographic’s broad roster of talent, including renowned photographers, scientists, authors, filmmakers, and adventurers, share their behind-the-scenes stories from the front lines of exploration.
This presentation is great for the whole family, but is recommended for ages 5 and up.

Tickets are on sale now through the official Wharton Center Ticket Office, online at whartoncenter.com, or by calling 517.432.2000 or 1.800.WHARTON.
Tickets range from $19 {youth} up to $47 for adults, but there are various price points depending on seating location. A small fee for ticketing costs will be added as well.

LOCATION
The Wharton Center for Performing Arts is located at 750 E. Shaw Ln., East Lansing, Mich.
Additional tip: A few spots we’ve enjoyed a meal at nearby: HopCat, Sansu {sushi} and Harrison Roadhouse. There are lots of options surrounding the university!
