One of the prompts from Mama Kat’s this week was to write a post including one favorite blog from each month of the past year. Since I didn’t start blogging until April, I will start there. Here’s my personal favorites from the year:
April: My Birth Story – Because who doesn’t love to read about the miracle of life?!
May: A Love/Hate Relationship With My First Car – I was so proud to buy my own first car for the sweet price of $1,200. Eventually I named her Mussolini…and for a good reason. It ended up being a hunk of junk! {For Mama Kat’s Writing Workshop}
June: Angel on the Farm – A supernatural story about a memorable visit to my in-laws farm, which has been in my husband’s family for more than 100 years.
July: Ode to My Favorite Pants – My attempt at writing humorously. I still miss those comfy pants!
August: Singing in the Car – Why not embarrass myself one more time by featuring this video of me…Singing by my lonesome…In the car. For the record, it’s one of my highest viewed YouTube videos. Apparently people like watching others act a fool. {For VlogTalk}
September: Where I’m From – I really enjoyed writing this because it got to stretch my brain a bit to recall the scents and imagery of the house I grew-up in. {For Mama Kat’s Writing Workshop}
October: To My Daughter On Her First Birthday – A letter to my little lady as she turned one.
November: Little K Talks Turkey – Because nothing is funnier than a 1-year-old trying to voice her opinion!
December: Things That Make Me Cry – I chose this post from last week because it seems like a lot of ladies out there can relate. Glad I’m not alone in my weepy moments of weakness.

I think I had read all of these except the one of Little K’s birth – so sweet.

I just came back to the blogging world after taking a several year break. 🙂 I spent most of this year getting my feet wet. So I like this recap prompt because it’s letting me see what all I missed. 🙂
