I have a confession: I actually enjoy cleaning.
I know! Crazy. But if I’m alone in the house (it sometimes happens) and I have the perfect iPod mix playing, I really don’t mind it. Being pregnant, I’m generally exhausted after, but I just sleep more soundly knowing I will wake up to a clean home!
I was super excited when I was contacted by JAWS — “Just Add Water System” of home cleaning products, about doing a product review. I’m famous for not being super brand loyal when it comes to cleaning products, so I welcomed the chance to check them out. A major bonus? The company is based in Toledo, OH, which kind of is like Detroit’s cousin. We’re tight with our connecting cities like that.
First thing I noticed when the box o’ fun arrived in the mail: COLOR! The brightly colored bottles just shouted “Play with me!” and I was eager to mix the solution to see what would happen. It was almost like I was conducting a science experiment. Except, NO harsh chemicals involved here.
Notice the bright, happy colors? It kind of made me want to clean.
Here’s how it works:
JAWS is the first U.S. company to put super-concentrated liquid cleaners into a cartridge. You just fill the reusable spray bottle with water, pop in the pre-filled cartridge, and you’ve got an eco-friendly powerful cleaner in a snap. It’s innovative, easy to use, inexpensive, and reduces plastic in landfills – plus, it saves you cash and conserves resources. Sounds great, right?
Not gonna lie, I watched it turn completely green. It was sweet!
And all the products works beautifully! Nothing had a powerful stench and all cleaned like a charm. And did I mention they look so pretty and colorful in my cleaning supply closet?
The company is currently running a super fun contest. Here’s the scoop:
- Head to the JAWS Cleans Facebook page or jawscleans.com through May 31
- Enter the “Confess Your Mess” contest by uploading a photo of the messiest, dirtiest room in your house. Sorry, closets, basements and garages don’t count.
- If your room is chosen as the most deserving, you’ll get help from a professional organizer, plus your whole house will get a top to bottom cleaning, courtesy of JAWS. That’s a $5,000 value.
- Daily winners will be chosen Monday through Friday based on photo submissions
- Daily prizes will be the JAWS Home Cleaning Kits, which include Glass & Hard Surface Cleaner, Multi-Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser, Bathroom Cleaner/Deodorizer, and Disinfectant Cleaner Degreaser.
Also, for my Detroit area money-saving mammas, there’s a deal that will be happening at Hiller’s Market stores From April 9 – April 22 – JAWS products will be buy one, get one free! Starter kits of Multi-Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser, Bathroom Cleaner/Deodorizer and Glass & Hard Surface Cleaner are $4.99, a 2-pack of recyclable refill cartridges are $3.99. Since the starter kit includes one refill cartridge, with the BOGO, shoppers will pay just $1.25 per bottle. Disinfectant Cleaner Degreaser is normally $5.79 for the starter and $4.79 for a refill pack, so with the BOGO, that’s like paying just $1.45 per bottle. Not too shabby!

I actually love to clean, i love the feeling when everything looks and smells good. When i start i cant stop until its done, no music needed. 🙂
I agree, I like how my house looks and smells after it has been cleaned. I’m indifferent regarding the process. Music definitely helps!
I definitely enlist my kids to help, which makes a huge difference – especially considering that they make most of the mess! Listening to music makes cleaning more bearable too.
I like to have the house to myself and turn my music all the way up!!! Lately though I have had lots of little hands helping me 🙂
I find it much easier to clean when the house is empty and I have my music turned up loud with the windows open!
Can you say “Honey-Do”?
I clean for a leaving so cleaning is my job. And I get to see all kinds of things. Thankyou, Pam
listening to music was definitely great but if you do it with cleaning the house its awesome.
