In just a few days, summer will officially be here. I don’t know about you all, but I’m ready for some FUN in the SUN!
Last summer was wonderful, but also rough. I was very pregnant during one of the hottest summers in a long time, then had a baby, so spent way more time inside then I would have liked. I’m determined to make this summer one with tons of great memories and photos with my girls.
Here’s my summer 2013 bucket list:
- Pick fresh strawberries and blueberries.
- Make edible finger paint and paint on a rainy day.
- Eat ice cream for dinner one night.
- Go on a nature scavenger hunt with Kinley and gather items to make this nature “purse.”
- Chase hot air balloons.
- Keep attempting to potty train. {Please send wine.}
- Buy cake and balloons and celebrate our “unbirthdays” on a regular day.
- Watch the sunset over a lake.
- Build sand castles.
- Make homemade lemonade.
- Read a new book.
- Enjoy a girl’s night out. Like literally, an entire night away.
- Check out a new farmers’ market.
- Buy fresh eggs from a roadside stand.
- Hit up garage sales for items to repurpose and sell.
- Get free slurpees from 7-11 on 7/11.
- Run 5 miles straight without stopping to walk.
- Go to an outdoor concert.
- Find some new recipes using herbs we’ve grown.
- Make sock puppets and put on a puppet show.
- Visit a new local park.
- Take Kinley fishing for the first time.
- Go to a carnival. Get family photos in a photobooth.
- Go to an unusual summer event we’ve never been to {i.e. a tractor pull or monster truck rally}
- Make a bug jar and help Kinley catch bugs for it {eeeeew, but I know she will love it}.
- Try some new Michigan beers and wines.
- Plan a beach day at a place we’ve never been to.
- Try a new form of exercise. {Hoping to try Jazzercize!}
- Watch fireworks.
- Take family photos near a sunflower field.
- Visit the Detroit Zoo.
- Enjoy MANY bonfires in our pit.
- Hike a new trail with the family.
- Make a new intro video for this blog 🙂
- Less computer. More outdoor fun.
What’s on YOUR summer bucket list?
Oakland County Moms has a great list of summer concerts, I stumbled upon it the other day. 🙂
I don’t really have a summer bucket list! I’m going to Chicago for BlogHer so that will be fun … going on a fireworks cruise as well :).
We did ice cream for dinner one night and it was a lot of fun. I got two kinds of ice cream and lots of toppings and we made delicious sundaes!
I love this list! Great idea to help keep some of these fun things in mind.
This is a great list! I may have to try some of these!
Thank you for sharing your bucket list! Check out our list if you have a chance. http://saltymommy.com/?p=837
