A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet-up with some fellow fab local bloggers for a great event at Blaze Pizza in Royal Oak, orchestrated by my friend Metro Detroit Mommy.
If there’s anything I can tell you about bloggers in general, it’s that we LOVE to talk and we LOVE to eat — especially pizza!
The event kicked off with us meeting the super awesome local marketing manager for Blaze, Darla, and her telling us all about Blaze and how it got its start.
The pizza chain began in Pasadena, California and has quickly swept across the United States and for good reason! The food is amazing, fresh and best of all — affordable! I loved the environment as well — it was very fresh and clean inside the premises.

Since I have kids, I am a huge fan of the fast casual concept because let’s face it: Nothing is quite as torturous as dining with a 3.5-year-old and 20-month-old! We need our food FAST and Blaze makes pizza in 180 seconds, which makes it an awesome quick-lunch option or for families.
You can build your own pizza with their variety of awesome toppings {some unique ones include: crumbled meatballs, 5 different cheeses, artichokes, arugula, zucchini and 6 different sauces}. Check out the entire menu here. There are also gluten-free options available!
The part that gets my husband excited? You pay $6.95 for UNLIMITED toppings. There’s nothing more frustrating to him than when he builds his own pizza and it costs us a small fortune due to all the up-charges!
Alternatively, you can choose one of their signature pizzas as well. I tried the Red Vine {Ovalini mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, basil, red sauce, olive oil drizzle, plus I added goat cheese and oregano}. Holy lord — it was good! I ate the entire thing without an issue, but most bloggers had some left over. Hey ya’ll — I’m eating for two here 😉
Blaze also has delicious fresh salads, unique drinks like Blood Orange Lemonade {sooooo good!} and even dessert in the form of S’More Pies, which are just $2.
Overall, I loved how quick you get served, how cool and hip the environment was, and best of all — it was pretty much the same price I would pay eating fast food. I highly recommend giving Blaze a taste!

I have to eat non-dairy, so usually makes traditional pizza restaurants out of the question. I LOVE that I could order just what I would like – for me, that means no cheese, just sauce and mushrooms!
