I love that summertime creates so many memories among friends and families. One of my favorite things about summer is weddings! For me, there’s nothing quite like a wedding…From the flowers and dancing to witnessing a couple make the ultimate decision to be together forever – it’s all so beautiful and always pulls at this hopeless romantic’s heartstrings.
I have been lucky to be invited to some pretty epic weddings over the years. One friend had a carnival-themed wedding outside, which was SO fun. Another friend is Chaldean and had the most beautiful ever with tons of friends, family and traditional Arabic dancing.

Hmm, that’s a tough question. I usually like seeing the little kid videos/pics from both the bride and the groom 🙂 those are always cute.
My family is filled with pranksters. Every wedding since my Grandparents’ wedding in 1957 the groom is locked up in a ball and chain to symbolize the eternity the newly married couple will spend together…in a loving way of course! At my wedding it seemed like the tradition was going to be over and at the very end they surprised both of us with a true sneak attack. It was unexpectedly surprising despite knowing it would be coming! 🙂

I gotta say, the bridal party dance to “friends in low places” at your wedding tops the charts for me! And the wedding I went to last weekend was also quite epic, at the Ford Piquette Plant, where Henry Ford built the Model T, and the bride and groom entered the reception in a Model T! How cool is that?!
My favorite moment from a wedding Is my sisters wedding this past summer. She had a dance off at the reception and it was so much fun. The silliness and the moves especially on my grandma where hilarious.
My favorite memories are from my own wedding, we had a packed dance floor and it was a great night.
I attended my nephew’s wedding recently, and enjoyed talking with my cousins and him and his new wife – they live on the East Coast so we don’t see them often.
I loved every moment of my own wedding! I love weddings in general and always have a blast dancing the night away. I am the worst at the ceremony, I always cry every time, lol! The best is when both my husband and I get to be in a wedding together, it sort of feels like we are doing it all over again.

I love watching the bride and groom so full of hope and love gather with family and friends to celebrate a happy and momentous occasion. I also love the bittersweet moments when they remembered those who have went on before and can’t be with them at the service in real life but are in spirit.
I always like to see the sand ceremony or something representing their unity! 🙂

At my wedding my uncle brought one of his camels for the guests to ride. Everyone had a blast! Cars were stopping on the road to watch. I have pictures of me on it in my wedding dress being lead around by my husband.
I’ve only been to a couple of weddings, but at my own wedding my little nice threw the rose petals at the guests instead of down the aisle. The minister during our vows called me Angelo. Does that mean we’re not really married? Good times. 🙂

At my wedding, my husband’s grandpa was the life of the party and dancing with everyone! Definitely my favorite part!
At my friends wedding I was a bridesmaid in she ans her new husband didn’t do a traditional first dance. Their dance was something you would see in the movies. I actually think it was reminiscent of Pulp Fiction. It was so great.
I guess I need to comment on my own. I just remember being the very last one still dancing when it ended.
Our whole wedding was so much fun! We had karaoke, and some of my favs were singing “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” with my hubby and my dad singing “Color my World”
My favorite moments are the receptions. Great food.
My favorite moment from my sister’s wedding was when we all had the bridal party dance and got to dance in a giant circle around the bride and groom. We felt like little kids playing ring around the rosy!

I love when they have a generations dance. It’s amazing to see how long some couples have been together and their advice to the newlyweds!
I love when the bride and groom add personal touches. At one wedding this summer, the bride and her father wore sneakers for their dance to reenact their favorite scene from Father of the Bride.
My favorite moment was from my sisters wedding this is also where we found out the gender of their second child. Their wedding cake looked like a wedding cake but was also a gender reveal cake.

My favorite moment from a wedding was at my cousins. She is very non traditional and non girly. She sewed sequins on her Reeboks. Her wedding will be one that I’ll never forget.

I loved a wish for you ceremony that we were a part of for my BFF’s wedding. She had little lighted lanterns that floated up in the sky and caught fire after they got so high up. Each lantern was given to a guest. Each guest wrote a wish for the couple and sent it up to the heavens. Ohhh my gosh it was a beautiful sight to behold. All those sweet wishes going up I adored it! As did all the guest!
