The dryer is a non-electric glove or mitten drying solution that is placed directly over a floor register or leaned against a baseboard register. When your heat turns on, it captures it and forces it up to top of the mitten, drying it from the inside out. The dryer does not use any electricity other than your furnace running, which would be doing so already. This saves homeowners money on energy costs by not having to utilize a dryer and allows you to leave your home or go to sleep at night without the fear of any fire hazards. Best of all, you will wake up or return with dry, warm gloves or mittens.

The product is 100% local and is available in 31 retail stores across Michigan and Indiana, and they are already calling for more. In fact, a local school where Karen resides already has six dryers for students gloves and hats between recesses. {In Michigan, students are required to be outside twice a day for at least 20 minutes, and then proceed to stuff their wet clothes into lockers and backpacks.} Even if you toss them in the laundry for 20 minutes when kids get home, that’s 100 minutes a week that you could save on your electric bill.

This truly is a great product for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and sledding. I can’t wait to use it more this season! My kids love going out multiple times a day, so this will be awesome for keeping things dry in between.

I love that it can also be used to dry cashmere, leather and wool gloves and mittens — items that would normally be ruined in the dryer, but are safe with the Green Glove Dryer.

  13. This is totally awesome. I have bought many pairs of mittens, only for them to lose one of them. I would love to have something like this for my kiddos.

  14. Perfect for the 3 year old who wants to go out, plays for 5 minutes, wants to come in, plays for 10 minutes, then wants to go out again 😉
