When I started this blog, quite honestly, I didn’t really think or care who may read it. Writing to me is therapeutic. It helps me make sense of the world and find great things for my family to do. And it’s just plain fun for an extrovert like me.
Over the years, I’ve been shocked at the number of people who shout “Hey, Mrs. Weber!” when I’m out in public. Now, I may be hearing it a bit more thanks to a segment that recently aired on Local 4 News in Detroit. {Seriously, talk to me if you see me! I love chatting with readers.}
A producer from Local 4 happened to see this blog post highlighting my husband and I’s recent weight loss and decided we would make a fun story.
A few things I had to warn her about: My husband is NOT a fan of the camera and I have 3 crazy kids. Thankfully, my husband stepped out of his comfort zone and my mom rescued us and helped watch the kids while we filmed our segment.
We are SO proud with how it turned out.

We are NOT experts on losing weight. Not even remotely. We just are happy to share what has worked for us, which may be completely different from what will work for you.
It’s our hope that we can inspire a few people out there to take the plunge and get control of their health. We are far from perfect, but we feel great, and isn’t that the ultimate test, regardless of what the scale says?
Every big goal starts with a small step. Best of luck if you are trying to lose weight and get healthy. I’m here if you’d like to reach out and ask questions or need encouragement.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support!

Congrats! I saw the video when you posted it on Facebook lately :). I’ve been trying to lose weight as well … I use MFP but it can be frustrating when there’s no progress, for me.

Totally can understand that. It’s just a great starting point to learn where to begin. I had no clue so many of the foods I ate were horrible. Now, I try to save pasta and red meat for special occasions only for example. It’s all a learning process. Keep up the great work!

My issue is that I have a specific stomach issue where pasta/red meat (meat in general) actually are the best for it … hard to explain but I basically stay away from dairy, chocolate, etc. even though I sometimes “splurge” on pizza.
Keep up the good work on your end as well! 🙂

This is great! I’m new to your blog but would love to know if either of you have attended any local gyms or fitness classes as I am interested in finding somewhere to go…I live in Howell, too (and am still fairly new to the area, from Fowler like Mr. Weber). Keep up the good work! 🙂
Mrs. Weber says
Honestly, we do not go to a specific gym. While I’d love to, having 3 little ones makes it hard to find an ideal time, so we typically stick to at-home things like running outdoors when the kids are in bed. With that said, I’ve heard great things about Planet Fitness and TruFit here. See if you can visit a few and see what the vibe is like!
So nice to ‘meet’ you too…Fowler people are the best!

You guys are amazing! Way to start a goal and STICK to it! Your hubby did great for being a shy camera guy 😉
Mrs. Weber says
I know, right?! He was awesome. I’m proud because not everyone can pull it off. He floored me 😉

Loved it! I’m also loving the new look! I may have some questions for you soon…I have no clue how to re-do my site!
Mrs. Weber says
Ha! That’s why I hired someone to help! It’s definitely confusing!

Mrs.Weber, you and your husband and this blog serves great inspiration to many of us. Hope to see more of your articles and more of your success stories soon.

Shucks, thanks Ron! Really appreciate the kind words. Blogging about our experience has given me a lot of fuel to keep going for sure!
