Meijer: Best of the Holiday Shopping Deals

It’s the most wonderful time of year…To do some shopping, right? OK, maybe the crowds aren’t your thing. But if you are a deal shopper like I am, it’s worth the battle for some truly good deals.

This year, we’re doing a little shopping for us. My husband isn’t one to want much, but he has had his sights set on a Playstation 4, and we are hoping to also get a new TV, so it is absolutely worth it for us to get up early to save quite a bit.

SATURDAY | DEALS BEGIN AT 6 A.M.

This is Santa Bucks day! If the lone item you’d like isn’t on sale on Thanksgiving or Black Friday, shop Saturday and use Santa Bucks coupons to score a great deal up to $20 off your order.

Additional tips for the season:

• Make your mobile mPerks work for you! If you have a reward for a total purchase, work toward it with your gift purchases. Consider those perks when comparison shopping. {I have a total purchase and toy one I am working on}.
• Check mPerks for coupons. Many items have coupons! I love using the scanner feature to scan an item’s barcode to see if any items have a coordinating coupon.
• Shop at night to avoid the crowds. I often go after 8 or 9 p.m. so I don’t have to battle the crowds and am able to go kid-free. The store is much quieter and chill, and it gives you time to think through your purchases.
