Looking for something to do this upcoming weekend? I have the ultimate cool idea: A scavenger hunt in Detroit! First off, the weather looks like it’s {finally} going to be amazing, and second, there are some awesome prizes up for grabs.
About The Shell Eco-marathon Americas Hunt in Detroit
The Shell Eco-marathon Americas Hunt is an urban scavenger hunt inspired by a joint project between Shell and the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau {Visit Detroit}.
The fun will begin at 9:30 a.m. on April 16, 2016 in downtown Detroit. Registered participants will follow a series of clues leading to various key landmarks. The first to visit all sites and open the car will go home with a VIP Shell Eco-marathon Americas prize package, which includes suite tickets to the Detroit Grand Prix, $500 of Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline, two round trip Delta flights and more. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony directly following The Hunt.
This event is FREE and open to all ages as well as participants in the upcoming Shell Eco-marathon Americas. Registered participants are welcome to bring friends and family to help them during the scavenger hunt. Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants who complete the hunt will receive a t-shirt and a special prize.
To participate, register online at shell.us/thehunt by 11:59 pm April 12, 2016. Follow @shell_ecomar on Twitter for more information, too!

The 10th Annual Shell Eco-marathon® will be in Detroit April 22-24, 2016. This unique event challenges student teams to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient vehicle. During the family-friendly weekend, teams from across the Americas – Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and the United States – will return to the streets of downtown Detroit to compete.
More information about the event itself coming in the days ahead, so stay tuned!
