The heat sure isn’t joking around so far this summer…Which means being out during the day requires water for sure. Brand new to the scene is Lily Pad Springs Splash Pad in West Bloomfield, and boy is it beautiful!
This new state-of-the-art ADA and Universally Accessible splash pad features a 2,400 sq. ft. climbable structure, which pumps 740 gallons a minute of treated water. In fact, this splash pad is the largest in the state of Michigan!
There are more than 50 play features and 4 water slides, which is plenty to keep kids of a variety of ages busy. {My kids are quickly aging out of splash pads, but they definitely enjoyed the slides!} For the kiddos that love the large dumping buckets, there is one that releases every few minutes. It’s easy to avoid if that isn’t your child’s thing 😉
On the premises, you will find plenty of shady spots to set your items, as well as free lockers, and vending machines with treats.
The property is awaiting picnic tables, but in the meantime, you can pack a lunch to enjoy outside the splash pad gates as food is not permitted inside the gates. It was the perfect spot to dry off and eat some lunch!
TIP: Water shoes are encouraged and swim pants or swim diapers are required for all children not toilet trained.
Overall, this was such a fun spot to spend a sunny summer day. West Bloomfield is home to tons of great parks and events. Check out what they have going on here, and make it a full day of fun! {Make it an even more fun by adding in a visit to one of our favorites nearby — Heritage Park in Farmington Hills.}
Have fun if you visit!
HOURS
Lily Pad Springs is open seven days a week, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and has three sessions available for summer 2021:

Pre-sale is available until noon the day before your planned visit. Admission can be purchased here. They do take a limited amount of walk-ups, but probably not worth the risk with kids just in case it’s full! The capacity is at 150 currently, so it will never be overcrowded this summer. SCORE!
ADMISSION
Admission is $4 for residents and $6 for nonresidents.
LOCATION
The splash pad is located at 6200 Farmington Rd., West Bloomfield, MI 48323.

My family’s favorite way to cool off during the summer is to visit a lake and spend the day splashing away. This splash pad looks absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to take my family for a day of fun in the sun. Thank you so much for posting about it.
