The post below is in partnership with The Wharton Center for Performing Arts.
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! {I can’t be the only one who said that into a mirror as a kid, right?!}
I’m excited to partner with The Wharton Center for Performing Arts to promote BEETLEJUICE, an edgy and irreverent new Broadway musical comedy.
The show is coming to Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall from Tuesday, March 14 to Sunday, March 19, 2023, as part of the 2022-23 Broadway Season.
ABOUT BEETLEJUICE
Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.
With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, BEETLEJUICE is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” according to Variety. And under its uproarious surface {six feet under, to be exact}, it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!
I know this show was in Detroit earlier this year, and my friends that went RAVED about it. It’s going to be a fun one and a great way for us to re-live a fun 1988 classic movie. Gather up your friends and go see it while it’s in town!
A few show notes worth mentioning:
- Run time: 2 hrs, 35 minutes
- Age Recommendation: Ages 10+. Contains strong language, mature references, and a lot of the crazy, inappropriate stuff you would expect from a deranged demon.
- Special Effects: Strobe lights
