There’s a new sweet playscape! Say HELLO to the Senior Survivor Playscape between Howell and Brighton. This nature-inspired playground is a dream for any sensory-seeking child, and is free to visit.
This playscape was a collaborative community effort, with the Howell class of 2021 and 2022 seniors leading the charge. They dreamt up the plans, and raised money for two years to make it happen. We’re so grateful to them — this definitely will be a place to love for many years to come.
The playground has various elements such as logs, stumps, ropes and boulders to encourage various types of play.
The inclusive scape is geared toward ages 5-12. But the bonus is there is another playground behind it, and that has an area toddlers will love as well.
In addition, the Genoa Township Hall complex has a lot of other elements to entice families to visit:
- A large sledding hill
- Bathrooms
- An AAC communication board {near the other playground}
- A Little Free Library {near the building}
- A paved bike/walking path, complete with a story trail
- Basketball courts
- Soccer field
As you can see, there is lots to love!
Genoa Township is located between Howell and Brighton at 2100 Dorr Rd., Brighton, MI 48114.
Have so much fun if you visit!
