Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Green Oak Village Place in Brighton

February is upon us and with it comes one of my favorite holidays: Valentine’s Day! Personally, I enjoy the excuse to shower my people with love and squeeze in a great date night.

When I visited the shopping plaza, I not only found all kinds of great gifts for my kiddos, but I checked in on a few spots that would be perfect for a date night.

The Space

The Space is one of the most beautiful yoga studios I have been to. I’ve taken a few classes there and they are always extremely wonderful and relaxing. A nice perk is that they offer childcare for an additional fee if you aren’t able to find a sitter.

There is an upcoming workshop that sounds great for couples and includes partner yoga. They will even teach some Thai massage!

X-Golf Brighton

I recently tried virtual golf for the first time and had so much fun! {I’m terrible…I promise you don’t have to be great to do it!} This location opened on Black Friday and has been a hit ever since. I enjoyed talking with the manager about the offerings. This would be a fantastic location for a date night, or a birthday party. There are appetizers and a full bar available and each simulator can accommodate up to 6 people. They also offer lessons, which is nice so you don’t have to worry about weather 😉

Boba Bare Craft Tea

This cool shop is the perfect spot to pick up a bubble tea and honestly, just SMILE. It’s so cute inside and is a popular hangout for teens and couples! They have a huge selection of bubble teas. Or, if you’re like me and need caffeine while shopping, the Iced-shaken Brown Sugar Espresso is amazing. My barista suggested adding tapioca boba to mine and it was so delicious. I highly recommend a visit to this adorable independent business!

Joe Kools

Dubbed as “A place you can catch a game, take a date, or feed the family,” this sports bar is a ton of fun. I love that they have live music on Fridays, a spot to play darts or Golden Tee, Club Keno, and a menu with loads of options for all palates. They also have happy hour Monday-Friday with $2 off drinks and rotating drink specials. Learn more and view the menu here.

TIP: The have the BEST ranch!! I also really enjoyed my Cobb salad and French Onion soup during this visit. I’m also a fan of the olive burger and sweet potato fries.

TIP: If you need to move after dining, check out the woodsy trail across from JCPenney. There is a paved walking path that leads to Island Lake State Recreation Area and a mountain bike trail.
