Here are a few of the stops we made at Green Oak Village Place in Brighton:

Five Below: Great kids’ gifts, pool/lake floats, sunglasses, beach bags, snacks for the beach {their candy area is my absolute favorite!!!}

TJ Maxx: Fresh summer clothing styles, PJ’s, summer scents, hats, sunglasses and more. Let’s be real: We can always find something useful or wonderful at TJ’s!

Michigan Marketplace: This amazing store is filled with all kinds of art, homemade gifts, hats, earrings and more. Truly a great one-stop shop for summer gifting!

The OC Sports Cards & Memorabilia: Fun for sports lovers to explore and dig through cards {and spend some time in air conditioning!}. I appreciated the variety of price points available. There are also Pokemon cards and other varieties. My friend said she used this store as bribery so she could shoe shop – LOL!

Joe Kool’s: Fantastic happy hour, delicious burgers, patio dining available. Tons of big screens for watching sports, a juke box, Club Keno, and more!

• Athleta: For athleticwear {because summer clothing should be comfy!}
• Dick’s Sporting Goods: Clothing, shoes, and summer sports fun.
• DSW: All the latest styles in shoes for the family.
• JCPenney: Clothing for everyone in the family.
• Wild Birds Unlimited: Summer birding is a ton of fun and this store has great items.
• Motor City Bicycle: If your bike is in need of a tune-up.
• Barnes & Noble: Because every season should start with a new read, and they have a fun reading program for kids in grades 1-6.

When you’re done shopping, make sure to check out one of the great restaurants located in the plaza:

• Pick up a pizza at Rollin Stone Wood Fired Pizza {one of the BEST in Livingston County!}
• Get a to-go order from Panera Bread
• Get take-out from Kerby’s Koney Island
• Enjoy Mexican-inspired fare from Salsarita’s
• Grab wings at Buffalo Wild Wings
• Grab a coffee at the Starbucks inside Barnes & Noble

TIP: If you need to move after dining, check out the wooded trail near JCPenney. There is a paved walking path that leads to Island Lake State Recreation Area and a mountain bike trail. The wildflowers there are gorgeous in summer!
