Disclosure: I was provided with The Wet Brush for the purpose of writing this review.
There is one hair battle I have fought long and hard my entire life: Thick hair.
Many people say they would love to have hair as thick as mine. Well people, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be…It takes SO long to dry and style, hence, it usually is up or looking like a hot mess because ain’t no mama got time for that. Also? It’s hard to brush through, therefore I’m already counting down the days until I can donate 10″ of it to Wigs 4 Kids!
It seems my Kinley is going to have this issue as well. Karina still has baby hair, but the constant toddler rat nest in the back may be an indication of what’s to come. Needless to say, hair brushing in our house is a constant battle.
I was ecstatic to learn about The Wet Brush, the best detangling brush ever, from my local blogging friend Coupon Savvy Sarah, and knew I had to give it a shot.
ABOUT THE WET BRUSH
At first glance, The Wet Brush looks like an ordinary hair brush, but with just one use, women, men and children will learn why it’s the world’s best detangling brush. Used on wet or dry hair, The Wet Brush quickly and painlessly detangles even the thickest, most stubborn hair thanks to its revolutionary bristles. Specially formulated, The Wet Brush’s IntelliFlex bristle is designed to be ultra thin and flexible, yet still have rapid recovery memory to instantly bounce back to its original form. In addition, the ball tip bristles provide a massaging action that stimulates circulation at the follicle and is a proven benefit for hair health.
One look at Amazon reviews will prove that you should give it a shot, too!
MY THOUGHTS
You guys. My girls actually let me brush their hair now! It’s a miracle. It works great on dry hair, but also right out of the bath, when their hair tends to be a tangly mess. It feels like it brushes one layer at a time, which means pulling is minimal, and it leaves the hair feeling super silky and soft.
They would never stand this still with our old brushes. We used to hold them in our laps with our legs wrapped around them to brush their hair…Now they actually let us brush it!
Additionally, it comes in a variety of colors {and styles like chevron and mustaches!}, is available at many mass retailers and is affordable {retails for $8.99 for the original brush}. Also, it’s available in different bristle styles, perfect for baby, men and more. They truly have a brush for every need.

Purple! Olivia keeps saying she needs a detangling brush, thanks to a commercial on Nick Jr. I think this would be great for the twins!

One of the Neon colors – like Neon Orange….so when the girls “borrow” the brush, we have half a chance of finding it in the sea of pink around here!

The brightest color possible. Maybe yellow!

This post takes me back. I remember hating it when my mom ripped through my hair with the brush and loving it when my dad would so delicately brush my hair out. Although his way took three times as long. Even us thin haired girls get tangles.

Too funny — Jason is way more patient and soft than I am! Maybe it’s because males are more sympathetic? Too cute!

I would go with the blue!

This brush probably would have saved me a ton of headaches as a kid! Thick hair is great but such a hassle sometimes. I’ve got about 1.5 inches until I can donate my hair and I’m ready! 🙂

Probably purple…I know I don’t have any little girls but I can definitely sympathize with you on the thick hair (plus I have curly as well), so it would be nice to give this product a whirl for myself! Like you said “no mama got time for that”!
