Each year I gather our family together and create a Christmas bucket list of fun things we’d like to do during the month of December. At ages 4, 6 and 8, I love hearing the fun ideas my kids have, and the reminder that it doesn’t have to cost much to make the season absolutely magical for them.
With the holidays quickly approaching, we’ve come up with some fantastic ways to celebrate, and we’re kicking off many of these this weekend!
Here’s the 2018 Christmas bucket list we put together:

We hope your holiday is merry and bright!
What are your bucket list musts during the holidays?
I wasn’t a huge fan of The Grinch, as you know 🙂 but I think kids might like it – the animation is great.
I get a week off between Christmas and New Year’s which is always great. Bucket list for that time is just to spend time with my family + boyfriend, maybe do some reading and shopping, and we might go visit some friends in Portage for NYE/New Year’s, too.
Yeah, we will give The Grinch a shot for Christmas, but I’d really rather see Ralph Breaks the Internet 😉 Sounds like you have a great holiday break planned. Enjoy!!
I really love your bucket list! When my own children were little looking at Christmas Lights was always a highlight of Christmas with the grandparents. Looking forward to starting my own traditions with my 18 month old grandson.
Thank you so much for sharing this list! What is the toy shop?
Great question! In our community, The Salvation Army sets up a toy shop where low income families can come shop {locally, this is where all of our Toys for Tots donations go}. Each year, my kids and I help with setting it up. It’s fun and provides some great conversations for our family about being grateful for the things we have. If you are in Livingston County, I can let you know the volunteer coordinator, otherwise, look for one in your local area.
Thank you for sharing these great ideas for these Christmas vacation. Awesome blog!
