“If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” In Detroit {+Giveaway!} ENDS 7/3/13

I am crazy excited about seeing the production of “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” in Detroit because not only is that book one of my favorites, but it’s also one of Kinley’s favorite stories. In fact, a few years back I even made a video highlighting just how much she loved that story at one year old. Two years later, we still repeat that story often and I expect Karina to start loving it soon, too!

I think this story will make for an awesome stage show, too. Here’s more about what’s coming to Detroit this August:

Olympia Entertainment and Etico Productions present the children’s favorite, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, a family production that explores the delicious chain reaction set in motion when a little boy offers a cookie to a visiting mouse. This heartwarming stage adaptation comes to the City Theatre on Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25.

Created by Etico Productions founder John Manfredi and directed by award winning director and playwright James Bowen, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie is a madcap messy ride through Laura Joffe Numeroff’s best-selling children’s book. Don’t miss this funny heartwarming story about a boy and his energetic, demanding and inquisitive visitor. Michigan’s Etico Productions has been a leader in providing live family entertainment since 2007, including creating the Michigan Premieres of Alexander and the Terrible No Good Very Bad Day and Good Night Moon. Etico has also adapted other If You-stories including; If You Take a Mouse to School and If You Give Pig a Pancake.

Performance schedule:
Friday, August 23 – 11 a.m., 3 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 24 – 11 a.m. & 3 p.m.
Sunday, August 25 – 2 p.m

  4. My daughter loves moose a muffin! The mouse came to her preschool a couple of years ago and she was in love! Can’t wait to see the show.
