I recently gathered my besties and hit up Escape Room Novi and we had a blast solving the mystery inside the Blackwater Harbor: Echoes of the Deep room. I can confidently say this incredibly immersive room may be my new favorite!
Our Experience at Escape Room Novi Blackwater Harbor: Echoes of the Deep
From the moment you step inside Blackwater Harbor, you’re completely immersed. Think rolling fog, dramatic strobe lights, and a few genuinely well-timed jump scares that keep your heart racing. The story pulls you into a dark, mysterious harbor where mythical sea creatures seem to be lurking around every corner, and the attention to detail makes the entire experience feel cinematic.
What I loved most was how balanced it felt…Spooky without being too freaky, challenging without being too frustrating, and incredibly fun from start to finish. It’s the kind of escape room that keeps everyone engaged, whether you’re a seasoned escape room fan or trying one for the first time. {In fact, for one of my friends it was her first escape room experience and she absolutely loved it!}
To escape, our crew did require some extra clues and we narrowly escaped with 17 seconds left…but we enjoyed every step of the way.
If you’re looking for something fun to do during these freezing cold months, Escape Room Novi is the perfect way to escape winter for an hour and step into a thrilling, immersive adventure.
Note: Rooms can fit up to 8 players. I always say, the more, the merrier since everyone’s brain work differently. It’s the ultimate test in teamwork!
Booking an Experience
It’s easy to book an experience at Escape Room Novi:
- Go to their website and look through the rooms available to choose what experience you’d like
- Book and pay {games are for 2-8 players. The more you have, the easier it will be. If you have a larger group, you can choose two different rooms and race each other.}
- Arrive a few minutes early to prepare for your game.
- The room moderator will go over rules and set the clock for 60 minutes.
- Dig around the room for clues — look for patterns, numbers, puzzles, etc. Ask for a clue if you truly get stuck; you just need to ask on an intercom inside the room.
- Have fun!
Local Spots To Eat and Play Nearby
I love that Escape Room Novi is in the Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk plaza because there are so many options nearby! Close spots for food include Ford’s Garage, K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, Beer Head Bar & Eatery, Buddy’s Pizza, and HUB Stadium. We also love doing glow putt-putt golf at The Putting Edge. It’s such a great plaza full of fun, so it’s a great destination for couples and families.

Escape Room Novi currently has nine active rooms. These are booked as private events so you will not be paired with strangers.

Escape Room Novi hours are as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 3 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
- Saturday: 12 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.
The traditional rooms, which are a one-hour experience are $35/person, while the mini games are $10.
