- Visit one of our beautiful state parks for FREE with the Michigan Activity Pass or a Michigan Recreation Passport
- Take a self-guided tour of the state capitol in Lansing {Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. only}
- Hunt for fairy doors in Northville or in Ann Arbor
- Visit the Detroit Institute of Arts {FREE for Macomb, Oakland or Wayne county residents}
- Go to the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Nature Center, Aquarium and playgrounds on Belle Isle in Detroit {free entry to Belle with a Michigan Recreation Passport or a Michigan Activity Pass}
- Burn some energy at the indoor structures and soccer field inside 2|42 in Brighton or 2|42 Ann Arbor {check out their special events during the week on their Facebook pages}
- Check your library’s website for spring break events
- Spend a day admiring art at the Flint Institute of Arts {free on Saturdays}
- Check out the treehouse and free activities at For-Mar Nature Preserve in Burton
- For older kids interested in learning about WWII, visit the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills {free for 2 people with the Michigan Activity Pass} and hear from a survivor on March 24.
- Visit Calder Dairy & Farm in Carleton and watch the cows milked at 4 p.m. daily.
- Head to Ann Arbor to enjoy some incredible FREE museums: University of Michigan Museum of Natural History, UofM Museum of Art and Kelsey Museum of Archeology {definitely be sure to check out the new dinosaur exhibit at UMMNH!}
- Look at dinosaur bones and more at the MSU Museum and/or visit the MSU Broad Art Museum {don’t forget to pop over to the Dairy Store if you visit Wednesday – Sunday}.
- Check out a new playground. Gallup Park or County Farm Park in Ann Arbor, Heritage Park in Farmington Hills, Scarlet’s Playground in Commerce Township and Brighton’s Imagination Station are a few favorites here.
- Plan a visit to Cabela’s in Dundee and check out the enormous fish tank and taxidermy animals throughout.
