In our family, we LOVE lists. Each season, we brainstorm ideas for things we’d love to do. Fall is the BEST for many reasons — the cooler temps, the gorgeous colors, and one of our family’s favorite holidays: Halloween!
The cooler air, fresh apples and cider, and the amazing display of colors are just a few reasons to love fall in Michigan. There’s also ALL the amazing activities you can get up to as well. Let’s all get out there are support our local farms and cider mills 🙂
Here are some ideas to get you started categorized by family fun in specific areas, at-home fun, and adult fun, so it’s easy to find what may work best for your family.

General Ideas For Families
- Head out for U-pick Michigan apples and then have a taste test to find the family favorite
- Check out a local corn maze
- Admire fall colors on a trail walk at one of these family-friendly hiking trails

- Run a fall 5K together as a family
- Visit your local fire station for an open house {fire safety month is in October}
